To conclude our visit to Narni there’s the Lacus, a cistern dating back to the early middle ages situated beneath Piazza Garibaldi, showing a cut stone ceiling and a herringbone pattern brick floor known as opus spicatum in latin. An educational tour on the importance of water is being prepared inside, the first of it’s kind in Italy.
Learn how caves are formed and how mankind used them to his advantage, where today they are merely explored. Discover how water helped life flourish on the planet and how, over the course of the centuries, we have managed to harness it’s power.
